Getting this done
Had a great time at KK on saturday. Weather was soooo much better than last year! ie; no ice and temps were above freezing. Lots of folks but not as many merchants. I did all right altho I didn't sell very many of the patterns I carry for two other folks. Not surprising, I think business was done. Saw a ton of folks I had not seen for awhile, wish there had been time for more visiting but events are kind of like that. Himself actually made it for part of the day too. Up until the last minute friday we thought he would have to work OT on saturday, on top of the santa gigs both friday and saturday evening, so he wouldn't have had much time. No OT so he could make it for at least part of the event. I didn't stay for court but packed up and headed home as it had been a long day.
I had to burn a day of vacation before the end of the year so I took today off and knowing I was going to have the long weekend seemed to help me get some things done on sunday. Started getting Christmas out. The tree is up, but no lights or ornaments yet. So far all the cats have done is chew it a little but I want to give it some time. The big poinsette arrangement is on the mantle and the wreaths are on the doors.
This morning I took the two boys to the vet. Not on any of our Favorite-Things-To-Do list :). As usualy we had to pour Murf out of the carrier and then he tried to become one with the counter top. He was really very good and got an excellent bill of health on his first senior exam. His vacs were also updated and since they are now 3-year, hopefully he won't have to do this again for awhile. As soon as he was released he did his disappearing act and zipped back into the carrier on his own as fast as he could get there. As soon as Max was out of the carrier he hung around, rubbing any ankle he could get too. He also got a clean bill of health but, as expected, his teeth need cleaning. Looks like we caught it before any gum inflammation or possible extractions so he is staying overnight at the vets and we will pick him back up after work tomorrow. I think Strumpet was glad to see someone come home finally, it was the first time she had been in the house all by herself. Didn't stop her from growling at Murf however. Hey, *I'm* the alpha-female here!
I'm now waiting for some auctions on eBay to end so I can send invoices and start packing. More christmas decorating later this week. A couple of small projects in the sweatshop are still on the list but otherwise, it's been a mellow start to the holiday season.
