Busy busy weekend
Feb. 12th, 2007 11:38 amNot that I planned it, it just kept flowing: errands on saturday am, including picking up boxes for making shut-the-box games for kids. Call from friend to borrow machine and rolled-hem foot for finishing banner (partially successful, anyone have any hints on the best tension for sewing scarf-weight silk?), call from Peru on merchanting at Liles. Got my haircut in the evening then waited for a call from Doom to join the justice protest and pary. Sorry to have missed everyone! Sunday am was spent working on the blackwork on L's shift and enjoying the last buttertart with my coffee for breakfast.
bernina2000de then came over to draft a late period corset pattern on me (have I ever mentioned how much I HATE fitting things on myself!!!). I also got to spend some time entertaining her polite, but every energetic, four-year-old while she was busy with the drafting. Yeah, surprised myself too :). He was a very good kid however. It was definately chilly in the sweatshop though!
bernina2000de was used to it, being from the Great White North, but two days left me a bit chilled. Ham & bean soup for dinner sunday was a good start to the warm-up but it took a hot shower to get the last of the chill off. Leftover soup and cornbread for lunch today, mmmmmm.
