Monday Drag and a movie meme
Oct. 6th, 2008 12:20 pmAs in, I'm draaaaaging today. Saturday was very laid back, just ran a few errands and started digging out the dining room table. Worked faire on sunday.
Don't know why but this weekend at faire kicked my butt more than the last, and I thought I was in better shape for it this weekend. Hope I'm not coming down with anything. Weather was glorious, but dusty. Got a little warm in the afternoon but then the breeze kicked up. Lots and lots of patrons, just wish they were buying more. My goddaughter was out with her dad so we got to visit. She's into Steampunk, yeah :)!

List three (3) or more movies that, while channel surfing, will entice or otherwise get you to stop surfing and re-watch it, regardless of when you last watched it:
Hmmmm, sometimes it's a whole movie, sometimes it's just favorite bits:
1) Hunt for Red October; the scene where the nuclear sub does the emergency blow out of the water, cool shot!
2) Gladiator; especially the coliseum scenes
3) Miss Congeniality; not sure why but parts of this movie are always fun to catch.
4) The Adventures of Buckaroo Bonzai, Streets of Fire, Star Wars movies (original 3). All old favorites that are fun to have on when sewing, etc.
5) Scrooge, with Alistair Sims. THE best film version of A Christmas Carol. And if I catch it while channel-surfing, and it is not to badly edited, another holiday favorite is We're No Angels.
6) Tombstone, with Kurt Russell. This one keeps growing on me. An amazing cast, lots of good scenes. Speaking of Russell, Big Trouble in Little China is also fun to catch.
7) Barbara Stanwyck or Audie Murphy movies. I like both of these actors and know I haven't seen all of their films, especially Miss Stanwyck's so always fun to find one when channel-surfing and give it a peek.
