Throw me something mister!
Feb. 24th, 2009 02:07 pmLong overdue for an update post but in the meantime: Happy Mardi Gras and in particular Happy Birthday to my mother. She turns 81 today!
This is her first birthday since moving back here to KC so myself, Himself and middle sister are going over to younger sister's house this evening with a King cake, beads and feathered masks to surprise her :). Now if we can just be sure she gets the baby......
I managed to be in New Orleans once for Mardi Gras years and years ago. I'm really glad I took advantage of the opportunity for that visit. I'm not one for crowds but being on Canal Street for the Zulu and Rex parades was something else. My favorite was Bachus however, held at night. Now that was a party!!!
