Whew, things have been hectic
Dec. 2nd, 2005 10:44 amThought I was going to have a nice mellow holiday, and things would mellow a little here at work with the semester winding down; Wrong! Ended up sewing my butt off over the holidays since the number of kids in a holiday fund-raiser I'm helping to costume tripled. Probably didn't help I also said yes to desigining costumes for another show :). Then here at work, just as things were winding down, we have 3 guys coming in to be interviewed for a position we have open. One is comeing all the way from Edinburg! To bad I couldn't send him a shopping list :).
Good news is that DH is doing much better. A pinched nerve is now the suspected culprit but he is still off work until next week. If it gets aggrivated again a chiropractor has been recommended. Anyone know a good one?
And I think the hawk is still hanging around! I kind of suspected it, based on the hit-or-miss way the birdfeeder has been emptying, then I saw it on Thanksgiving Day in the trees and bushes on the back of our yard. It looks like it had Grackle for T-Day :). Actually, I should probably start calling it a She as I think it is a sharp-shinned hawk and the females are brown, males are grey. I think she was around this morning as it was very very quiet in the yard when I left to go to work. Usually there are some birds making some noise, if only to fuss at me for scaring them off the feeder. I don't mind the bird'feeder' doing double duty, so long as she doesn't get one of the Cardinals!
