Things I've learned from daytime TV
Feb. 4th, 2005 10:14 amI'm not back to work as much as I had hoped (long story), which has me home again with the darn TV on. Now bear in mind, I am doing other things but the idiot tube makes great background noise when I am stitching or reading and it keeps sucking me in. So what I have learned so far:
1. If you ever give anyone money you consider a loan, get it in writing.
2. When you take said above person to court, bring any and all paperwork to support *any & all* claims you want to make with you.
3. While it is depressing to see the types of cases that get onto those TV court shows, at least these few are not clogging up our justice system!
4. Dr. Phil is not a god. He thinks he is but I don't agree.
5. Oprah is rich, and she *really* enjoys it. Altho I have to admit I think she has earned it more than some other folks.
6. I enjoy General Hospital a lot more when I can zip through it in 10-15 minutes with a remote, rather than actually having to sit and watch the whole hour and every dragging conversation. Back to taping.
7. There are way to many commericals for way to many things that I really don't need. (fortunately I have been able to avoid the shopping channels).
8. Carol Duvall is addicting, especially to this artsy crafty person.
9. Ok, I can see some of the attraction for creating those slightly bee-stung lips with collagen injections but what is this with the lips that looked like they sucked out the hive!!!!!!!!!!!

Date: 2005-02-11 05:35 am (UTC)Sorry to hear that you are not recovering as fast as you'd like but think of it as a way to find time for all those things you have been saying "ya know, when I have more time I'd like to ..."
I've been a lady of leisure for about 3 weeks now - so I'm using the time to study for my paramedic test (feb 18th!!!!) and trying to keep my head screwed on straight.
So, if you're home, and bored, and need someone to chat with, give me a call - usually up around noon until 3-4 am. kisses cje
