More Battery over the weekend

Our venerable Toyota pickup is dead. Since we had the new car it sat through all the cold weather in January so, not surprising, it didn't want to start when we could finally give it a try. D. tried to jump it a couple of weeks ago, no luck. Manual said it could be belts. We jumped it again and got it to a service center late friday to be checked out. Yup, battery AND alternater. YUK. Cost for replacement (even after they 'refigured' the bill when we called back) was still more than the truck was worth so we jumped it again and brought it back home. We are looking into salavge yards or perhaps a charity that will tow it away. I'm kind of sorry to see it go this way, we have had it for 18 years and it really has been a pretty good vehicle, only starting to need some major work the last couple of years. We definately got our investment out of it though.

Rest of the weekend was getting the last of the sewing done for the KC Women's Playwright Festival. I thought I would need to help load-in the costumes but the Director said he would take them at the Sunday rehearsal so I would not have to drive all the way down to JOB. Got the last of the costumes done sunday, set them all up on labeled hangers and took them to rehearsal. Now all I have to do is be there for the costume/cue tech on tuesday and possibly dress rehearsal. Opening night is Friday!

Now if I can just catch up on some sleep tonight. Stupid daylight whattheheckarewesavingit for time...................
