Weekend Update

grnvixenActually got quite a lot done, despite the weather. Got out early to the sale at JoAnn's and was able to find the better part of the last of the fabric I needed for the show at OCTA in January. Still some bits and pieces but the buttons, in particular, can wait for the sale at Cy's after Christmas.
Puttered around the house saturday afternoon and made snack mix for the evening festivities. This was a get-together with some friends we only manage to see a couple of times a year for a Champs game. Since we hadn't had a game since this summer there was a lot of catching-up, and a lot of food. Boy does this group know how to cook! Roads looked good on the way out but they were a royal mess on the way home around 12:30 am. Took our time on the highway and only fishtailed badly on one hill.
Weather and the roads delayed the trip over to Lawrence to drop off fabric and visit with Chernoblyred. Had to cancel lunch but it was a pleasant drive and really great to just sit and visit with her. Loved her apartment and got to meet Fetish too :).
Topped sunday off with a successful start to the massive pickup/reorganization needed in the dining room if we are going to have my family over for the holidays and some bill sorting. Had a good meeting with one of the volunteers who is working on her brother's costume for the OCTA show and I feel good about this one.
More holiday decorations coming out tonight!
