Not my usual weekend

This was not my usual weekend; starting around 5:30 pm friday until 6:30 pm sundy I was stuntparent/house/dog sitting for some friends who are in Italy. One set of grandparents is pulling duty during the week, I gave them a break over the weekend. The kids are 16 (driving and working) and 13. I saw more of the dogs than the kids :). It was prom weekend and while the oldest is a sophmore one of her friends went, plus she knows a lot of Juniors, so she was at after-prom festivities saturday night. The 13 yr old stayed with a neighbor both nights but was in and out during the day. Both were good about checking in and we did all go to dinner saturday night. There was a brief plot by the 13-yr-old to get me to buy him an air gun (this is the short story version) but he didn't seem surprised when II decline and said that was up to his parents and he could email them if he couldn't wait until they got back.

So, basicly it was a laid-back weekend for me in a house where there was nothing I needed to be doing and I could kick back, read, do some stitching and just generally be lazy :).
