Quiet Weekend
Jul. 17th, 2006 12:22 pmSeemed rather long but that was probably because I was sitting on my butt for most of it. Ended up house/dog/kid sitting for the same friends I did this for in April. Saw a lot more of the kids this time, probably due to the heat :). That was kind of nice, since I've known these kids since they were in utero so-to-speak. DH came over and made taco salad for us and one of the kids saturday night so we got to visit.
I knew this weekend, with a lot of time on my hands and no ready access to a sewing machine, was comeing and planned accordingly; bodice trim!
rougewench very graciously hustled last week to get the required fabric and brought The Bodice to me on friday night so I could have it for the weekend. Time worked out according to and I was able to get all the trim hand-sewn onto the test bodice
radcliffe and I made for her, as pictured in her LJ entry here (and hopefully I get that tag right :)). It is now dropped back off to her for more wear-testing.
Probably the last handwork I will be able to do for awhile, costuming for The Miser picks up steam this week.
