A memory out of so many over the years...

You, drunk, sitting on the floor outside the Kona Kai, about 9:30 in the evening, after working hard all day at whatever KC Con it was that year, with orchids from the several drinks you had drunk behind your ears and adorning your shirt.

The satifisfied Scorpio smile that only comes in moments of pure indulgence is etched in my mind.

There were a couple of years we had the con at that hotel and yes, that was my let-down moment after a loooong saturday. I think the drink was named, appropriately enough, a scorpion :).

Sometimes I forget all the fun we had over the years at conventions, thanks for the reminder.

but the weather is oddly comfortable. There you sit under a tent (which is entirely historically accurate, I'm sure) surrounded by the most amazing people drinking daquiris. I am lugging my children and a puppy and am feeling somewhat tense until I see you. What a comforting and relaxing place it was...you in your element. Crown on your head, a smile that couldn't possibly be wiped off, a drink in your hand and laughter and joy in your heart.

What a pleasure it is to be your friend. I don't know how you put up with me. ;)

Speaking of conventions..........that was a fun little project, and I truly appreciate how you have taken care of it over the years. I would still love a picture of Bri when she wears it.

Yeah, that was the one I was thinking of, but particularly when she walked across the stage in the dress, and I looked at you, and you looked just as proud as I did! I will never forget it! BTW, how you doing? Need more soup?
