Fast weekend update

It was a weekend. We had one, count 'em ONE trick or treater on friday, and that was our neighbor (red power ranger). Himself was all dressed up but no go. Our numbers have been decreasing the last several years so I didn't even decorate the porch, but the light was one!

On saturday morning I enjoyed the foggy morning and fall color from the deck with my coffee, then got a lot of organizing done. Kitchen and dining room table (yes, again). Made progress. Friend had a small B-day bash on saturday night that I went to, then Open House at my younger sister's on sunday. She was showing off the new addition and welcoming my mom to town. Lots of food and people. I took an old friend from high school along as a surprise for my mother. She had practically lived at our house during high school and we used to joke that she was an adopted daughter so it was a nice surprise for mother.

And on saturday morning I managed to get a quick picture of the wren that has been hanging around for a couple of weeks. I think they are migrating now but the warm weather keeps tempting them to hang around. Apparently to small to tempt the hawk. It's a small pic so I'll try it without a cut:

I see wrens spring and fall, but not to much inbetween. I know this is a habitat area, and I hve a wren house, but have I managed to get it hung up? Noooooo. Maybe next spring.
