Who else gets their B-day celebrated with bonfires in England!

Thanks to everyone for their best wishes. I got an early present last night :). That seems to be a trend from the day I was born. The family story is that on another election day my mother went into labor but my dad would not take her to the hospital until the election returns were in and he knew his candidate had won. This was their first kid, me, and waaaay back in the days before speedy returns like we have now. Returns must still have been pretty prompt because they did make it to the hospital and I was born about 8 am the next morning.

The candidate? Eisenhower. Yup. I'm old, old, old.....

We did dinner a day early yesterday, partially to avoid all the election business on tv. Looking at the current weather I'm glad we did as this will be a good night to just get home and curl up with the cats.
