The fridge is stuffed
Nov. 26th, 2008 02:50 pmAnd eventually, so will our stomachs.
Made a raid on Sam's with JP on sunday. Stocked up for both T-day dinners. The in-laws are tonight. This is the tradition and since both of us work we sign up to bring pies and get pre-made ones ahead of time. There will probably be about 30 in attendance, ranging from 16 months to almost 70. Yeah, it's a crazy evening :).
My mother, after the big move in with my younger sister, has decided to accompany her to her in-laws this year so, for the first time in Idon'tknowwhen, I won't see her on T-Day. Since I now had all day at home, to heck with turkey, I'm making brisket!!! That was part of the reason for the trip to Sam's :). Also got some good looking frozen appetizers and cheesecake. JP has already picked up fresh asparagus and new potatos. Add biscuits and we have a feast!
I have big plans for lots of things to get done over the long weekend, hope I can get to at least half of them. One at the top of the list is extended time in the sweatshop to get it a little more sorted out (I tend to pile things on the cutting table and then when I need it, can't get to it). Got two small jobs out of the way last night; the bathroom curtains that have been needing to get done forEVER and a Santa-type bag for Himself to use with his dinner theater gigs that start, oh, next weekend. Want to get some needlework stuff up on eBay and pull stock together for KK next weekend. Where has all the time gone!!!
