Busy......

grnvixenSo nice to have had the time over the long T-day weekend but where did it all go? And why, oh why, does the temperature always drop to below zero when I *have* to get some work done in the sweatshop? The cool stone basement is kind of nice in the summer when I have to push a big sewing project but not now, no, no, no.
Still, managed to get a car load of stock sorted out for KK this weekend. The weather looks soooo much better than least year! Not to mention I don't have to be the first-on/last-off site this year. Looking forward to seeing friends and talking stitching with a bunch of folks. Hopefully I will have some sales and have less to take home.
Speaking of cold, Strumpet has become even more of a lap slut than usual. She is not very big so I think she really likes the fleece lap rugs in particular to snuggle up in. She has also realized she can psyche out the big grey cat to get him off of a lap she wants. She just sits and stares from the floor, or gets up on something next to the chair and hovers. Never says a word but he knows she is there! It was getting so cold I was worried about her having a warm spot during the day so I set up a basket with some fleece scraps in front of one of the vents, she's been in it quite a bit. When we get the tree up it will be right under it so I will try and get a pic.
Speaking of, haven't started much decorating yet. I love to decorate for the holidays but really hate to see how it is overdone, and way to soon, in the stores, so, not such a rush to do it at home. With KK this weekend it would have been a real rush anyway so we will wait and start next week, possibly this sunday. First up will be the tree, no ornaments or lights. Need to see what Strumpet will do with it.......
