Another quiet one

Another quiet weekend but I got a bit more done. Sorted out some papers and got one embroidery project started. That sounds so simple but really, at least for me, deciding on the final pattern and then getting it transfered onto the fabric can be the most time consuming, and angst ridden. Once that is done, the stitching is almost a breeze! The blackwork coif is still percolating, need to do a post on just it soon to help sort out the last details.

Survived the lastest round of -zero weather. Left the kitchen faucet dripping so no frozen pipes, as opposed to the sink at work. Yup, same one that froze last time and busted the faucet. We tried turning up the heat but the air handlers for the whole building shut down rather than over heart. Fortunately there were not more frozen pipes. We did discover a small leak at home, from the upstairs tub (that JP had left on trickle against freezing). Going to be a hassel to deal with but better to have found it now, this way, rather than having the whole ceiling come down later on a bunch of books (AKKK!).

Not at work today so I'm enjoying a lazy morning. Have a memorial to go to this afternoon so not all pleasant. I think it will be good to see and visit with folks there though.

Sorry, didn't see these before I left. I gave her a couple of hugs though on general principle :). There was a great bunch in attendance, a few tears, a lot of laughter. I think he would have liked it.
